Meet & Greet on arrival at Bagdogra Airport/NJP station and transfer to (Phuentsholing)- The Gateway of Bhutan by Road from India. It is a thriving commercial center on the northern edge of the Indian Plains. On arrival check in at the hotel. Overnight stay at (Phuentsholing).
After breakfast complete the immigration formalities and transfer to Thimphu (7,710 ft.) the capital city of Bhutan. Following sightseeing will be there
  • Kuemselphodrang (commonly known as Buddha Point) where the largest Buddha statue in the country is perched ont he hillock overlooking the Thimphu Valley and enjoy the magnificent few of Thimphu Valley and mountian peaks you can take a short leiseure walk through Kuensel Phodrang nature park.
  • Tashichhodzong, "the fortress of the glorious religion" This is the center of government and religion, site of the monarch's throne room and seat of the Je Khenpo or Cheif Abbot Built in 1641 by the political and religious unifier of Bhutan, Shabdrug Ngawang Namgyal. It was reconstructed in the 1960s in traditional Buutanese manner, without mails or architectutal plans.
  • Kharbandi Gumba: The Kharbandi Gompa monastery is located amongst a garden of tropical plants and flowers.
  • Zangdopelri Park: Zangto Pelri means celestial abode of Guru Rinpoche. The gates to the park greet the visitors warmly and the entrance is led by flower gardens and a fountain.
  • Check in to your hotel.
  • Overnight stay at Thimphu.
After breakfast check out of your hotel and visit sightseeing which is given below. After all these sightseeing you will be travel to Thimphu back. On arrival at Thimphu, check in to your hotel. Overnight stay at Thimphu. Following Punakha sightseeing as per itinerary:
  • Punakha Dzong: One of Bhutan's oldest, largest and most striking fortified monasteries, the Punakha Dzong holds an important relic over which many wars were fought with the Tibetans. The Dzong holds a sacred place in the hearts of all Bhutanese.
  • Dochula Pass: The Dochula Pass is a historical landmark built to honor the bravery and sacrifices of the fourth king and the soldiers who perished during the battle against Assamese insurgents
  • Chimi Lhakhang Monastery: Famously known as the temple of fertility, the lhakhang draws local people, from near and far, to receive blessings from the lama (monk). The local people also bring their new-borns to be named here. The lhakhang is truly a revered and blessed space for many.
  • Punakha Longest suspension bridge: Stretching across the majestic Pho Chu river, the Punakha suspension bridge is 180 m (590 ft) in length, making it one of the longest suspension bridges in the country.
  • Punakha two river Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu River: The Dzong is located at the confluence of two rivers Mo Chu (Mother River) & Pho Chu (Father River). Punakha was the earlier capital of Bhutan and is still the winter residence of the Abbot of Bhutan.
After breakfast visit sightseeing which is given below.After all these sightseeing get back to Hotel and nightstay at Paro. Following sightseeing as per itinerary:
  • The Folk Museum, an outdoor museum that gives an insight into rural in Bhutan.
  • The School of Traditional Painting of Arts and Craft where student undertake a six-year course on the 13 traditional arts and crafts of Bhutan.
  • National Institute of Traditional Medicine, where medicinal herbs are compounded and dispensed and traditional medical practitioners trained.
  • National Textile Museum which is a good place to see the art of traditional weaving being kept alive and preserved through exhibition and has a good collection of old textiles which are rich in colors and desings. you will also see people weaving with intricate designs.
  • Traditional Bhutanese paper making factory: The handmade paper making in Bhutan stemmed from the age old tradition ariginated in 8th century of Bhutanese History. THe handmade Paper constitutes as valuable National heritage of Bhutanese cultural identity and is preserved through all the ages.
  • Centenary Farmers market (if tour coincides with thursday - sunday) where farmers would be seling their wide range of farm produces . Free Interaction with people from town as well as from villages come to this weekend market Weekend market is from Thursday – Sunday
  • Bhutan Postal Museum . The museum tells the story of Bhutan's progress and development through the evolution of communications and postal system in the country. And also you can get personalized Bhutanese Postage stamps with you photo on them. You can bring along your favourite photo to put on the stamps and put these stamps on your postcard to send to your family and friends.
  • Craft Bazar . A One stop place to withness Bhutanese culture and but Bhutan made art and craft product. The Bazar in its 80 stalls covers all aspicts of the traditonal art and crafts of Bhutan. At this Bazaar craftsmen and artisans from across the country display and sell their handicrafts
After breakfast visit Paro local sightseeing which is given below.After all these sightseeing get back to hotel and nightstay at Paro.   Following sightseeing given below as per itinerary:
  • Ringpung Dzong: Rinpung Dzong, also known as Paro Dzong, serving as a religious and administrative center and a symbol of Bhutanese unification
  • Ta Dzong: Paro Ta dzong, the fortress of watchtower was thus built on the promontory of the eastern spur of Paro valley. as the National museum of Bhutan, Ta Dzong displays over 3000 works of Bhutanese art and history.
  • Drukgyel Dzong: Drukgyel Dzong founded by Zhabdrung Ngawang Namgyal during the time of consolidation of the sovereignty of the country in the 17th century is historically very important to Bhutan and forms an integral part of the civilization of Bhutanese society. It was built to commemorate the victory over the external invasion.
  • Kyichu Lhakhang: The lhakhang was built to subdue a demoness (Sin Mo) and all of the 108 temples were said to have been built on the same day to subjugate her and ensure the propagation of Buddhism.
  • Handi craft Market: Bhutan is famous for its textiles all over the world. Some of the prettiest shawls and scarves are woven in this Himalayan country. Most of them are hand-woven from raw cotton and silk. Bhutan has a variety of traditional textiles native to a certain region.
  • Paro Local Market: Paro's weekend market isn't very large but it has a traditional feel and is a fine introduction to some of Bhutan's unique local products, from organic Tsirang honey to the squares of dried jellied cow skin known as khoo (a local snack).
  • Airport view point: The Paro airport viewpoint has an amazingly beautiful view to offer to the people. The Airport View Point offers a captivating vantage point overlooking the runway of Paro International Airport in Bhutan.
It is one of the most famous of Bhutan's monasteries,  Tiger's nest Paro perched on the side of a cliff 900m above the Paro valley floor. It is said that Guru Rinpoche arrived here on the back of a tigress and meditated at this monastery and hence it is called "Tiger's Nest". This site has been recognized as a most sacred place and visited by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal in 1646 and now visited by all Bhutanese at least once in their lifetime. On 19 April, 1998, a fire severely damaged the main structure of building but now this Bhutanese jewel has been restored to its original splendour. Guest will get ponies for hire to trek this monastery.
After breakfast check out of your hotel and get back to Bagdogra Airport/NJP station. As you go home let the everlasting memory of the radiant Himalayas and this beautiful serene kingdom linger in your mind and prompt you now and again to revisit this place.
